It's back! Yes, the snow is back...one week later. Last weekend we received nearly 12 inches of snow. This weekend we are suppose to get an additional 6 inches. Hopefully it doesn't blow like last weekend. This is typical for our state. A normal winter....you should have seen the winter of 1996-1997..did we have the snow! That was a year of flooding. The winters of the early 1990s when we first moved to the north eastern part of the state had -20 degrees for weeks at a time...and this was not factoring in the wind. So really the winters have tamed down around here.
Snowing at our house, yes those bright spots are snow.
We have many ways to move the snow around at our place. The good old fashion shovel, which is the least popular, the least used and the least favorite. Really? Why would a shovel be one of the favorites?
The blower... works really well for cleaning cars and after a light snow.
The old reliable 4-wheeler...which I think is Ed's favorite....because he goes "zoom, zoom"..is a quick way to move snow.
And last....the big monster, my grandpa's 1943 Farmall tractor. My Grandpa bought this new when my mom was born. This helps Ed move large amounts of snow. When he first got it he drove it down the road....he was so proud, our Farmer Ed. The tractor may be another of Ed favorites means of snow removal.
Oh my gosh, I forgot the most important tool that moves the snow at our place. See the guy on the 4-wheeler?? He is the most important...without him ...all the other snow removal tools would not operate. So thanks to the guy on the 4-wheeler. He does a great job.
