Happy Birthday To My Godchildren Born in January!

I have four Godchildren. Two of which are born in January. Virginia Ann, who we call Ginny was born January 21, 1988 and Dustin Todd, who was born January 16, 1996.

Ginny is my first cousin...yes quite a age difference between the two of us. Ginny will have her Golden birthday this year---she will be 21! I was very honored to be asked to be Ginny's godmother. I was only 20 years old--so long ago. Ginny has always been a fun, loving girl and always helping everyone. I remember when Ginny, her brother Luke and her mom and dad came to visit us when we first were married and moved away. They were visiting during my birthday. They purchased my favorite cake--angel food....and Ginny and Luke put the candles on it and presented it to me with singing. It was so funny because the candles were all over the cake including the sides. Ginny was my flower girl at my wedding. She was over 2 1/2 years old and did a wonderful job...with the help of her big brother, 4 year old Luke and her bear. We tied a ribbon around her favorite bear so he could participate in the ceremony too.


Ginny is now attending college for Occupational Therapy and Pastoral Ministry. She is a great asset to our Catholic community. Way to go Ginny! We are proud of you! Happy 21st on the 21st!

Dustin, who is my nephew is a special guy too! He will be 13. He is an awesome swimmer, student and entrepreneur....he likes to make money by selling hot dogs at his mom's rummage sales, candy booths on the street,walking the neighbor's dog etc. Some day he will make a million dollars or more with his skills and smarts. He is a great big brother to little sister BreeAnn...and a great cousin to Kayla and Kelsey. Way to go Dustin, keep working hard and you will continue to be very successful! Happy 13th.....welcome to being a teenager.
