Making Memories

So with the girls gone for the 4th of July weekend, myself and Ed decided to venture on a little road trip. He dropped me off on I94 and headed on to Dickinson to visit his family for the 4th of July. Of course, I wasn't sitting on the side of the interstate with my suitcase and dog,. Mom met us on the Beulah off ramp and I went to their lake place to visit with my family. Kind of like separate vacations. So Friday through Sunday I spent at the lake and Ed joined us Sunday evening to enjoy the paddle boat parade and fireworks.

It was a fun weekend. Friday I hung out with my mom, dad, brother Kevin and his family and Alex our dog came. We left the younger dog at the kennel. My brother, Kurt and his family visited from the bay the were staying out. My sister-in-law, Kristi joined in the fun with her kids on the 4th.

We had an awesome 4th of July. Along with paddle boat races of about 20 boats in two categories, kids 18 and under and adults, some enjoyed riding the jet skis, others went fishing, rides on the tube, riding the golf cart and the four-wheeler and just sitting around and BSing! In the evening the paddle boats were brought out a again for a parade of lights and last, the awesome fire work show put on by two of the neighbors. The fireworks were as impressive as the city I live in used to do. They also played music to the fireworks. So people around the bay gathered up their lawn chairs and enjoyed the show.
