Cake Boss

Have you ever watched Cake Boss on Monday evenings on TLC? Kelsey and I enjoy to watch that show and because of watching it she got a big idea in her head. She thought it would be cool to make Ed a fire truck birthday cake. So we went shopping to Wal-Mart and bought the supplies...after getting advice from a much more experienced cake maker.

Kelsey started the cake on Friday and finished on Sunday. So since Ed's birthday isn't until Thursday we thought we should have his little birthday party...as soon as she finished the cake. He had a clue but wasn't to sure what she was up to.

Here is the transformation from nothing to something!









Not quite like Buddy's cakes on Cake Boss...but quite impressive for a first timer. She has informed me she would never do another cake like this again...maybe a square or circle layered cake.
